Rich conversations on the topic of HAPPINESS happened when I met up with my varsity buddies last night. I will dedicate the next 2 weeks to share my thoughts and learning about happiness on this blog and my FB. Let's start....
Happiness, in my humble opinion, is the Holy Grail, "the meaning and the purpose of life," as Aristotle famously said, "the whole aim and end of human existence." To me personally, happiness refers to the experience of joy, contentment, or positive well-being, combined with a sense that one's life is good, meaningful, and worthwhile.
Happiness is not out there for us to find. The reason that it's not out there is that it's inside us. Happiness is a state of mind, a way of perceiving and approach the world we experience daily. So if you want to be happy, change and manage your state of mind.
When my career faced a setback, I learnt that my state of mind, how I perceived and approach the situation and my work were critical factors in my recovery. Although my career was put on hold for 4 years, I was a very happy man because I chose to change and manage my state of mind. So, don't look outside for answers, search within.
Will share more soon...stay tuned.
