Managed to capture a few shot at MBS Olympic Walk

Ride Buddy wanted to fly!

I look like an Olympic Champion! Maybe just maybe...Wake up Jimmy! LOL

Route towards GBTB and Marina Barrage was really scenic
...except for the two butts kept appearing in front of me. LOL

See. The two butts again. They kept coming into my frame!

Yes, I was riding and taking pictures at the same time.
Don't ever try this unless you have years of training like me. Ha Ha! Sigh, the two butts again!

Sunrise was beautiful. Too bad I did not have the proper equipment and time to capture it well.
You get the idea.

After a long 3 hour ride, Ternie was finally back with his elder brother Volvie.
Time to go home for a good wash up!

Don't think too much!

Happiness Tip: Don't think too much! Over thinking is thinking too much...needlessly, passively, endlessly, and excessively (any more "ly"?) When you over think, you ponder over the meaning, causes and consequences of your problem. This will only create more negative thoughts and feelings.

Becoming happier means learning how to disengage from over thinking about your negative experiences, learning to stop searching for all the leaks and cracks (at least for a while) and not let them affect how you feel about yourself and your life as a whole.

For example, when my audience over think the trick I perform, they get frustrated (because they will never find out how it is possible) instead of enjoying the magic performance. The happy ones are the ones who just focus and enjoy the miracle just happened in front of their eyes. They do not think too much!

So, if you want to be happy, don't over think!

New Accessories Added to Enhance Ternie's Character

Added the following accessories to give Ternie's more character. Of course, these accessories are required and functional as well.

Besides the colour theme which matches Ternie's character, Peak DX II is one of the best pump around that can handle a high volume. Only complain is its weight. But I'm o.k with it. It fits nicely with the the Modula Java Cage by Topeak as well.

The Modula Java Cage by Topeak is something I like very much. I was using the Monkii Cage for a while but it cannot secure my big bottle well. Every time I go over a bump, my bottle will fall off. The Elastic band of the Java Cage is very secure. I have no problem securing my water bottle anymore. Of course, colour theme is perfect as well :)

Always felt that I can add a bit of character colour to Ternie's handle bar. Well, decided to get a yellow bar tape to add a bit of yellow for consistency. Well, I am happy with the result.

Yes, Ternie is now a bit more dressed up! Happy :)

Change your questions, Change your happiness level

Happiness Tip: Identify automatic negative questions in your head and question them with new and empowering questions.

Change your questions and change the quality of your life. To increase optimistic thinking and happiness, you need to learn how to identify negative voices in your head. Once you learn how to be aware of these negative thoughts, use the following questions I use to reinterpret the situation.

a. What else could this situation or experience mean?

b. Can anything good come from it?

c. Does it present any opportunity for me?

d. What lessons can I learn and apply to the future?

e. Did I develop any strength as a result?

These were powerful questions that helped me to reframe when I fell. They helped me to stand up and come back stronger. What are the questions or voices in your head right now? Are you able to reframe them with new questions?

Reflections on priorities in life

Reflections on priorities in life. You may be an engineer, manager, consultant, or whatever positions you hold in your organisation. You will retire one day. But as a father, mother, husband or wife, brother or sister, sons or daughters, you will never retire. Something to reflect on with regards to our priorities in life.

Exploring the Bedok PCN

Had a great morning biking adventure with ride buddies exploring the Bedok Park Connector Network (PCN). All of us were very excited about this morning's ride. We started 'WhatsApping' each other from 10 p.m. the night before to talk about the ride.  Pictures of our bikes and accessories were 'flaunted'  adding to our excitement and anticipation. Not sure how many of us slept well last night. :)

It was a great 45 km ride from Jalan Lembah Bedok -> along Bedok PCN -> East Coast Park -> Changi Coastal Road -> Changi Village for BF (and back). Below are some pictures taken during/along our ride. All pictures taken by my Samsung Note 2 camera. Enjoy.

The Bedok PCN - A very scenic ride indeed

Rode pass Bedok Camp "Home of our Guards". Took a quick shot and sped off because we are not supposed to take pictures of Military Camps :)

This was on of my favourite stretch along the PCN. Quiet and the estate here was really nice. Property prices along this stretch must be very high!

One of my favourite shot. Timing was perfect. Wish I could elevate my point of view a bit higher for a better composition.

Mastered the art of riding with one arm and taking pictures using the other. Don't try this without years of practice. Ha Ha!

Along the way, we had to cross 3 pedestrian crossings like this one. A good excuse to take a quick water break.

Ride buddies were having a great time chatting while waiting for the pedestrian crossing light to turn green.

Another one of my favourite shot.

Almost there... East Coast Park...Changi Coastal Road next!

Guy in Red, "Wah, can ride a bike and take pictures at the same time. Steady!"

An interesting bridge we had to cross along the way. Had to push our bikes across, if not, fine $1000!

Now you know who was the law abiding one...ha ha. On a serious note, we were all law abiding. We pushed our bikes across.

Finally, reached our BF destination - Changi Village FC. Our bikes took a break and by now, all of us were starving.

Guess what did I have for my BF? Shiok!

We had a great time catching up over BF and coffee. Still looked fresh after 20+ km.

On our way back, we had some "chain problem". We worked as a team to fix the problem in less than 5 mins. Excellent team work!

At the traffic junction, we had some time to pose for the camera. Look at the wonderful smiles  :)

Our cycling pace back to Jln Lembah Bedok (our start point) was much faster. Towards the end, it was literally an "uphill task"!

Ternie did a great job! A well deserved rest under the shade.

As we were recovering from the ride, we talked a lot about biking stuff. However, a cat caught our attention and conversations were directed to this fella. He seems to be enjoying his basking under the sun and was oblivious to our conversations.

After our recovery break, the boys started to bring out their bikes to "show show" while the gals watch on.
Gals -> "Sigh...boys are boys..."

A nice Tyrell. Ride buddy, "Will wife give me approval to get this baby?"

Bike parade!

Looking forward to our next ride together.
